Gosset Rewards Two Innovative Project

Gosset Rewards Two Innovative Project

The 18th Gosset Celebris Trophy, which every year rewards two outstanding gourmet initiatives, took place at Le Meurice hotel in Paris. Two first-rate projects – from a culinary, flavour, economic and human perspective – achieved the accolade. The ‘Judges’ Prize’ and the ‘Special Panel Chairmen’s Prize’ respectively honoured Yannick Alléno for his ‘Terroir Parisien’ and Thierry Marx for ‘Cuisine Mode d’emploi(s)’.

Reminding Parisians and visitors alike of the merits of local Ile de France produce, not only raises its culinary profile but also opens up new avenues for a whole host of producers, products and recipes from Ile de France. The judges understandably decided to reward Yannick Alléno for his quest to unearth lost culinary secrets, given a new lease of life on the menu of his restaurant ‘Terroir Parisien’ for the delight of his gourmet patrons.

The father of ‘The Little Prince’ taught us that ‘perhaps the greatest form of professional magnanimity is bringing people together’. To illustrate the sense of brotherhood in the culinary world, the judges chose to honour Thierry Marx’s initiative, ‘Cuisine Mode d’emploi(s)’ which allows underprivileged people to train as kitchen staff, proving once again that obstacles can be turned into opportunities.
