About us

Gilbert & Gaillard began their joint carreer in publishing in 1989 as directors of a collection for Presses de la Cité, a majorpublishing house in Paris. In 1991, they began to publish their own wine guides and magazines about wine. Today they head a multimedia group dedicated to wine that has offices around the world.
 
 
   
       
       
       
 

Philippe Gaillard : was born into a winemaking familiy in Touraine in the Loire valley. He studied winemaking and oenology and later became the sales director of a major french wine distributor..
François Gilbert He has a PhD in Geography and i a specialist in viticulture. He was a professor for 15 years before devoting himself to his passion for wine.

Sylvain Patard : After studying literature, in 1986, Sylvain got his start in wine by organizing a wine club at the magazine where he worked at the time. In 1994, he joined Gilbert & Gaillard. Today he is the editorial director of the magazine and wine guides.
 

Annick Delauneux : is a member of the team Gilbert & Gaillard 1991. Based in Champagne, she is responsible for regions of Alsace, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Champage, Loire Valley and Southwest.

Frédéric Comet : has joined Gilbert & Gaillard in 2009. Based in Gironde, he is responsible for the Bordeaux region.

Nicolas Sanseigne : is a member of the team Gilbert & Gaillard since 2009. Based in Montpellier, he is responsible for Languedoc-Roussillon, Rhone Valley and Provence.

Delphine Veissiere : Delphine lives between Milan and Paris. She has a PhD in economics from the University of Paris Dauphine and holds a qualification fron the Wine & Spirit Education trust in lodon. She heads the Italian office of Gilbert & Gaillard.

Guillemette Liné : Guillemette lives in Milan, specializing in marketing and communication applied to wine, she joined the Italian team in 2011.

Diego Bonnel : In addition to his experience in Strategic Management and Supply Chain Management, Diego Bonnel has an international profile oriented towards the wine world. Passionate about wine for more than twenty five years, he has developed a deep know  how as a consultant, helping wineries and public bodies linked to the wine sector. He tastes thousands of wines each year and possesses a deep understanding of Iberian wines (Spanish and Portuguese).He currently lives in Madrid, where he is in charge of the Spanish and Portuguese G&G office.

 
   
  USA

Emmanuel de Lanversin : Born on a winegrowing estate in Provence, Emmanuel learned how to walk by holding on to grapevines. He holds an advanced vocational diploma in viticulture and oenology from macon Davayé and is also an architect and engineer of brisges and roadways. He recently moved to the United sates to set up the North Ameriacan Office of Gilbert & Gaillard.

Jamal Rayyis : Writer based in New York, Jamal is wine critic and teacher. He is the author of seven editions of the annual guide to "the Food & Wine Magazine Wine Guide" (2002-2008) and collaborated on many publications: Food & Wine Magazine, Wine & Spirits, Wine Enthusiast, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Fodors ... He is now a member of the Gilbert & Gaillard tasting Team in USA.

  Veronika Cesbron : Born in the Loire Valley, Veronika Cesbron spent 15 years in business development group leaders in the luxury industry. It is therefore natural that it has turned to wine. Installed several years in the Cape Town region, she fell in love of country, its people and the wines. She is now head of Gilbert & Gaillard South Africa .
 
   
  China

Thomas Magnani : After receiving a Master's degree in sales and marketing in 2007, Thomas mooved to China, where he learned Chinese and analysed the prospects of this developing market. In August 2008, he created his own company, BS Wine. Based in the Gilbert & Gaillard office in Shangaï, he is our official representative in China and Hong Kong.
